Beauty Back-Ups

Hiddley Ho Ladies,

I, Chloe Leanne Le Breton, am a hypocrite...
I am not one to think of the future, ever. Forward thinking and planning is not my forte... unless of course we are talking about make-up!

When I sensed that three of my make-up favourites were coming to an end last week, I literally rushed out to replace them.
Sure I have other foundation, mascara and concealer that I could of used; but I just really didn't want to be without them, which I think says it all.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Makeup
Discovered about 3 months ago, I adore this foundation!
Medium/full coverage, long-lasting, and offers better oil-control than ANY high-end, oil-free foundation ever has for me; yet without any of their big claims.
Whilst it is a pain in the butt to blend admittedly, and does not offer the best method of dispensing (open top, no nozzle); I do think that it is necessary due to the thick formulation.
Even if I choose something lighter day-to-day with summer on the way; I couldn't be without a back up of this, for those occasions when I desire some heavy-duty coverage; such as nights out etc.

17 Peep Show Mascara
So many mascaras do nothing for my eyelashes, this one however, offers colour, separation, length and volume. It's effective from the moment you open it, unlike so many mascaras that take a couple of weeks to thicken, before they're ideal to apply. This is good from the moment you open it, when it thickens up a few weeks later; and right until the time it's due to be chucked out about 3 months down the line.
All that for £6.29 - you can't beat it!

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer
My third or fourth tube of this fantastic concealer - great for under eyes, or blemishes; this is creamy, light and easy to blend.
For me, it's better than any of the Bobbi Brown, Benefit and YSL concealers that I've used - I love it!

So there we have some of the items that I couldn't be without... with the exception of MAC Mineralise Skin Finish Natural; which my make-up bag couldn't survive without; and I will repurchase time and time again.

Which make-up items couldn't you be without it, and find yourself continually repurchasing?
Get involved and share below ladies, you know that I love to hear from you!

In other news, whilst scrolling through some previous posts the other day, I noticed that on the reaction section at the bottom of some of my posts, someone had clicked the "boo you whore" option, that I had included as a bit of a joke.
Oh how it made me laugh :o)

Anyway, thank you all for reading, and if you could please refrain from clicking the "boo you whore" reaction in relation to this post, I shall be eternally grateful - ha!

Lots of love, Chloe

    1. I would never have tried it unless I'd heard so many good reviews... I trust C2000 for silly things like blusher or lipgloss, but would never of thought that they could produce such great base items, at such low-prices! x

  3. I love the Estee Lauder Double Wear too, I just ran out so I have to repurchase. I bought a foundation pump from MAC for about £4 which fits you just have to cut abit of the end so it is not too long. I find It's much cleaner for me over wise I get it everywhere :)

    1. Hi Linzi, I too considered buying a pump, esp as I believe Estee Lauder sell one (cheeky so and sos) - but I'm worried the foundation will clog the pump, like my Chanel Mat Lumiere used to, and then block the nozzle and squirt out haphazardly everywhere!
Thank you for that great tip though :o) x

  4. Estee Double Wear is my go to night foundation at the moment. Stays perfect through out nights out without touch ups! I've been eyeing up the Collection 2000 concealer for a while!

    1. Kat you really must try the C2000 concealer, I believe it's about £4.29, so even if you hated it (which I don't think you would) - at least you haven't laid out too much cash I suppose...
I totally agree regarding EL Double Wear being a go-to night foundation, I couldn't imagine anything better, the staying power, oil-control and coverage = PERFECT! x

    1. Ooh but when u find a great mascara, it's not always worth the risk of trying something new and potentially not good for u, so I see where you're coming from. I do love this one though! X

Everyone had been raving about it for so long and I totally understand it now! Hope you have a lovely weekend my dear! xxxx

    1. I know right?! We haven't spoken in some time, and I totally agree about there being nothing better than when a cheap product is really outstanding!
Even when I bought my first C2000 concealer I wasn't initially sold, but then after I used it for a while, I noticed that I was no longer looking at my face throughout the day, and being drawn to my dark circles - which is saying a lot :oD

      You too my love!! x
